Hi and welcome to Sew Eclectic Designs.
My name is Anna and I live at beautiful Boyne Island in Queensland with my partner and 2 teens. The name of my business derived from my love of sewing as well as my inability to stick to one craft.
I have always been a maker. As a child I made Barbie clothes and knick knacks for around the house. When my partner and I travelled around Australia in a four wheel drive I needed compact crafts so I made jointed mohair bears and did cross stitch. After having kids I started sewing for them, first it was clothing and then soft furnishings. We travelled some more and I began to make jewellery as it didn't take up much space in our bus. Since settling at Boyne Island I have been designing decals, clothing transfers and have expanded on jewellery as well as sewing some eco friendly products.
I have rediscovered polymer clay after having dabbled with it in the early 90's and have added some beautifully handcrafted clay pieces to the ever evolving range of stock to the store. All of my clay jewellery is small batch and not mass produced. I am excited to bring fresh new pieces to you in the coming months using this versatile medium.
